Work for a good day. Every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a personal representative, you work on behalf of the individual and cover the entire Kronoberg County. The target group is individuals over 18 years old with mental disabilities who have extensive needs for care, support, and services, and who often require long-term contacts with various authorities.
Your task is to formulate needs and wishes regarding care, support, rehabilitation, employment, and services together with the individual. You assist in coordinating efforts from different stakeholders and support the individual in contacts with authorities and other actors. The goal is to strengthen the individual's independence, participation in society, and sense of quality of life.
The work is flexible and based on the individual's needs; you meet where it suits best, for example, in our premises in Växjö or Ljungby, or at another location that feels safe and comfortable. The time spent with a personal representative varies depending on needs, from a few months to longer periods.
As a personal representative, you have a duty of confidentiality. You do not make decisions about interventions, do not take responsibility for care or treatment, and do not replace other professional roles such as guardians, housing support workers, or personal assistants.
Since you work throughout the county, you will spend a significant amount of time driving.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education, such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, education in work rehabilitation, or other training suitable for the target group.
You have work experience with individuals with mental disabilities and good knowledge of the support functions in society. You are self-assured, able to work independently, and driven by a positive view of people's potential for recovery and change.
To succeed in the role, you need to easily build trust, engage and motivate, and have good collaboration skills in contact with various authorities and actors. The assignment also includes identifying and pointing out deficiencies in the support system in society, which requires good analytical skills and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
A driver's license (B) is required as the job involves travel throughout the county.
We review applications continuously and recruit continuously during the application period.
OTHER
Employees of Växjö Municipality should reflect the diversity present in the municipality. We welcome applicants regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity.
As a permanent employee, you will generally be placed in our organization in case of war mobilization.
